About Me

Outside of my work and photography, I am a 26-year-old fella born in Indianapolis, IN to a Jordanian mom and dad, making me a first-generation immigrant, and I'm the youngest of four. 

Growing up, I had the privilege of living in Irbid, Jordan from ages 6 to 16, which allowed me the opportunity to be exposed to different cultures and learn Arabic fluently, which was my parents' goal from us living in the country in which they grew up in. Although the opportunities were limited, I started to appreciate the time I spent in Jordan as I look back, as it taught me gratitude, humility, hard work, and most importantly... perspective (the most important word in the dictionary in my opinion). 

I moved back to Indy in 2015, went to Decatur Central High School for my senior year, graduated in 2016, then went to Ivy Tech Community College for a few semesters as I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do in life-- which I'm still trying to figure out, then from there I transferred to IU-Indianapolis (IUPUI then) to study Sports Management and graduated from there in 2020... yes, amid the global pandemic. 

Late in 2024, I took the risk of quitting my job and moving to Chicago to chase some goals, ambitions, and personal growth. The job market was tough to get into, but I took this challenge and promised myself to do whatever it takes to make this work. Now, after a challenging year, I’m a few months into a new job and I’m enjoying it. Chicago has been great to me, and my journey here is just getting started. 

I love chatting with people over a cup of coffee, which is also my way of exploring new coffee shops around the city-- hit me up if you want to grab a coffee!!

I'm a huge sports fan, especially European football (soccer), tennis, American football, and of course being a Hoosier, I love me some basketball. Go Pacers!
